Celebrate Dental Hygiene Awareness Month with Luca Lashes’ Apps

Did you know that October is Dental Hygiene Awareness Month (DHAM)? It’s probably not a coincidence that DHAM falls in the same month as Halloween, a time where Americans are purchasing nearly 600 million pounds of candy for the trick-or-treating holiday. October is the perfect month to teach young children proper dental hygiene and now there are two dental-themed apps from Luca Lashes to help parents do just that.

“Luca Lashes Learns to Brush His Teeth” is part of the award-winning, multilingual, interactive Luca Lashes series that helps turn “fearful firsts” into educational experiences. With the help of Luca, a boy who has magic eyelashes that give him special powers and make him brave, children learn how to use a toothbrush for the first time and appropriate ways to clean their teeth. Written in a story format, the app let’s children explore Luca’s environment as they learn together. The app costs $1.99 and is available on iTunes, Amazon, Nook, Google play, or Luca Lashes’ website.

Parents can also enlist Luca to help their child prepare for the dreaded first trip to the dentist with, “Luca Lashes and his First Trip to the Dentist.” Children can experience the sights and sounds of a dentist office through interactivity (touch, sight, and sound). The app costs $1.99 and is available on iTunes, Amazon, Nook, Google play, or Luca Lashes’ website.

Every Luca Lashes story includes a list of suggestions for parents focused on helping guide their child through what can be a stressful experience. The series is intended for children under four; however, they can also help children with special needs or late developers. All stories incorporate lively cadence and rhyming and are available in any one of several languages – English, Spanish, Chinese, French, and Italian – to meet diverse language needs, as well as to introduce new languages to children. MY kids love the dentist for one reason! He makes it super fun to and easy to go. ALSO this horse that does run, over and over and over again.

According to the best dental clinics in dubai, much like humans, dogs can get a buildup of plaque on their teeth. This happens when bacteria forms in their mouths and mixes with saliva to form a sticky, colorless film on their teeth, particularly upper premolars and molars.  When left, plaque will build up and harden to form tartar.
