Perfect After School Snacks

Are you kids super hungry after school? I know when I was in school, I’d get home and be starving.  Almost like I didn’t eat all day. My mom use to have easy to make after school snacks. They took me seconds to heat up in the microwave. My daughter is starting kindergarten, YAY! Well, she can’t make her own snacks yet but I can for her. Bagel Bites and Delimex Taquitos are delicious and takes seconds to make. I just pop them in the microwave while she gets her school work out and sits down for a snack. We often catch up with her day and all the excitement.

She loves bagel bites almost anytime of day. I still do as an adult. Something just comforting about child hood memories. Then to know I am sitting here with my daughter creating her own child hood memories to look back on is really precious.  Then she also loves the Delimex Taquitos and dipping them in salsa. Seems like every time we go to the grocery store we are trying new flavors but the chicken and cheese seems to be a favorite with the whole family.

When my daughter starts school officially this year, any day now. These are some of her after school snack choices. She loves eating them outside and enjoying whatever sun she can. So the snacks are easy to take along on a walk as well as inside on a rainy day. We just won’t mention she often has to share her snack time favorites with her younger sister and brother.

We grab these at our local Walmart int he freezer section. Really affordable and scrumptious. There are often sales going on and sometimes we walk out of there with several packages of Bagel Bites and Delimex Taquitos to store in our freezer.

These really make great after school snacks. Even if you buy them once in awhile. These will be a treat and why not celebrate with a full tray of snacks after their first day or even week of school.

  1. Mmmm bagel bite and taquitos – you don’t mess around, that is good stuff! She is such a little peanut to have those big snacks. But I’m reminded of when I was a kid, I didn’t like to eat breakfast, didn’t like lunch, so when I got home I was hungry!!! It is nice to have good quality snacks ahead of time, as we know the need for a snack isn’t the time to start dragging out a bunch of appliances, bowls, etc.!!!

We love bagel bites for after school snacks, I throw 2 or 3 in the toaster oven and they hold my son over until dinner. He gets home around 4:15 and we eat 5:30-6. #AfterSchoolSnacks #CollectiveBias
