You guys all know how I think Captain America is hot. Someone has to say it, right! Just because he’s cute is not why I love all the Captain America movies. We have them all so far along with other Marvels movies. We love it! My kids even love Captain America. The new release of Winter Solider is awesome. We went right to Walmart to snatch a copy up right away. They even had a really neat event at in the Walmart bakery. My kids go to color some pages while I shopped in the bakery area.

My movie watching buddy!

We were getting ready to watch Captain America Winter Solider and my kids love a themed snack. I am big on no candy and all that a lot. Maybe I think I am because my kids ask for it 20 times a day. So instead of a whole bowl of M&M’s®, I know is amazing to eat plain. We made some really cool Captain America shield themed snacks. While we did use some yummy M&M’s®, we also used some rice crispies. They even helped me create the snack.

Do you want to make Rice Crispie Captain America Shields too? They are easy!

Ingredients

2 Rice Crispie bars

red and blue M&M’s®

White melting chocolate

Star Sprinkles

lollipop sticks

mm2

First start by getting your rice crispies and cutting them in half. With the one half make the corners more round and even just a tad more flat.

mm3

Then you are going to want to melting the white chocolate by microwaving for 15 seconds and mixing every time until it’s smooth. Then put that in a little baggy, in the corner. Now you can snip the corner a very tiny bit and create a circle around the rice crispie and a dot in the middle.  Then place red M&M’s® around the outside on top of the white chocolate. Then place the blue M&M’s® in the middle. Then a very tiny dot on top of the blue M&M’s®. now you place a white star. Let harden for a few minutes in the fridge and they are ready to eat with you movie.

These are so easy to make and they taste good. While the kids think they are getting and awesome snack, they are, but are also only getting a half of treat and a few M&M’s®.

  1. These lollipops are great I can’t wait to give this a try. I am a fan of Captain America as well, I really enjoyed the Winter Soldier, but I think my favorite Marvel hero is Thor. Thank you for sharing this recipe post, these treats look really fun.

  2. These are fun. And yes. I wanna marry Cap too. He is so hot.
