Vapor rubs have always been one of my favorite ways to clear up a cold or just a sniffly nose. Mentholatum has three products to choose from including Nighttime Vaporizing Rub, Original Ointment and Cherry Vaporizing Rub for Kids.

The Original Ointment has been around since 1889 and has brought generations of relief to families that suffer from achy muscles and joints. Chest aches can be some of the worst kind when it comes to having a cold. The vapors that come from the Original Ointment are soothing and cooling to the nasal passages. All you have to do is rub it on the chest, neck and back area to start feeling relief.

Colds always seem to get worse with their symptoms at night, so fight it with the Nighttime Vaporizing Rub. It works fast to take care of that cough that is bothering you. It also has lavender infused so that you can be calmed to get some restful sleep. The Nighttime Vaporizing Rub lasts up to 8 hours and is safe to use on children ages 2 and up. If your regular cough medicine is just not doing the trick, you can use this rub on top of an oral medicine for added relief. It can also be used as a standalone as well.

Mentholatum also has children covered with their Cherry Vaporizing Rub for Kids. Kids get colds and congestion irritation just like we do as adults. The aromatic cherry-scented vapors will relieve coughs so that your child can sleep in peace. This fast acting topical cough suppressant is safe for children from the ages of 2 and up and can be used together with oral medicines or by itself.

All of these products have 100% natural active ingredients. It’s amazing to have a product line like this that has been around for over 125 years. Mentholatum is a trusted household name and has been in many medicine cabinets. Since beginning in 1889, the founder started off with creams, soaps and detergents. The company then began to make a cough syrup that was a blend between camphor and menthol. It was not until 1894 that the Mentholatum Ointment was born. People have loved and relied on this product ever since.
