Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2015

Santa Fe – I was given a car to test drive for a week. All opinions are mine and mine alone.

2015 SANTA FE AND SANTA FE SPORT

The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is so sporty but at the same time has a sleek look that I absolutely love. For my test drive of the 2015 Santa Fe Sport, I drove an hour to visit a friend that I had not seen in a little while. Normally I hate the hour drive because I am so uncomfortable. This time I didn’t even realize that the hour was almost over because the Santa Fe Sport is really comfortable and fun to drive.

The navigation system is awesome especially if you can’t quite remember how to get somewhere that you have been before or maybe you are taking a road trip that you have never been to before. The system was so informative and also let me know my speed as I travelled. It was definitely super helpful since I was on some open roads for some of the time. We also had great entertainment with the XM radio. I actually had one major road blocked off durring my travels and the navigation helped me find a way around it.

The BlueLink features are also really nice. Even though I don’t need it yet there is also a setting for curfew alerts. There is also geo-fencing that will help keep those teen drivers in your home accountable. While My oldest is 7, I know in soon time will fly and she’ll be learning to drive. All the little extras also made this road trip super comfortable. Heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, integrated rear shades and even a panoramic sunroof are just to name a few. I was happy to have all these little extras for our road trip because it really made all the difference. Like they say, sometimes it’s the little things that matter the most. When my butt is heated, I am a happy person.

Among the 2015 Santa Fe Sport’s awards is also the peace of mind that it has high safety scores. It also doesn’t hurt that Hyundai boasts America’s Best Warranty, 10 years/100,000 miles. There is space for five people to fit comfortably in the Santa Fe Sport and it also has 71.5 cubic feet of cargo space. There is definitely enough room to fit everyone and their stuff for your road trip. Can also fit a oversized, overnight bag for a trip to California for two days too. Trust me it’s super sized, haha.

There are two basic trims to the Santa Fe Sport and each offers something a little different. If you want just a little more and your wallet can allow it, moving up to the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T model gives you 264 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The six-speed automatic transmission and FWD are standard like always and there is the option for AWD. Daytime running lights are also now standard and so is the two-toned grille and a driver’s blind spot monitor.  I can say the blind spot is a must in any future car of mine. It’s so beneficial. been plenty of times I’ve looked over my shoulder to only see a car last second before wanting to change lanes.

The Santa Fe Sport has the two trim levels like I mentioned before that have different engines and there are some extra features that you can choose with the option packages when purchasing. The standards that come on the base crossover are 17-inch wheels, LED headlamp accents, Bluetooth phone and audio sourcing options, a 40-20-40 split-folding rear seatback, and a six-speaker audio system with satellite radio. Some optional features include automatic headlights, foglamps, a 4.3-inch in dash touchscreen – an 8-inch unit is also available with the top-tier Technology Package – and Hyundai’s Blue Link emergency telematics system.

The 2.0T gains more standard features such as 18-inch wheels and a power rear liftgate, plus most of the options from the base model as standard equipment. Available only on the 2.0T, the Ultimate Package brings the primary contents from the lower-tier model’s Technology Package, plus 19-inch wheels, xenon headlights, LED taillights and a 12-speaker premium audio system.

The safety of the Santa Fe Sport is incredible with seven airbags that come standard no matter which trim level that you choose. The traction, stability and hill descent control systems are also standard. A rearview camera and a blind-spot monitoring system are optional on the base model, coming standard on the 2.0T version.

I was in love with everything that the 2015 Santa Fe Sport had to offer and it was definitely different than any other SUV that I have ever driven recently . I really did not mind having a long road trip. If you are looking for something that is comfortable and fun, the 2015 Santa Fe Sport is what you need. let’s not mention that Hyundai is affordable car option when your budget isn’t super high but you want a new car.
