About Blue Lizard Sunscreen: Blue Lizard Sunscreen is a native of Australia, and as we all know, the standards for sunscreens are higher there than anywhere else in the world. Although it is now manufactured in the U.S, Blue Lizard still adheres to the strict Australian standards to help protect your skin while you play under the sun.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Blue Lizard. Summer is right around the corner, and if you have been following the blog, you know by now that my kids love to play outside all day during the summer. My little man, especially but his skin is so sensitive that I keep putting long sleeves on him during the summer so he will not burn. I was very happy when my Blue Lizard Sunscreen package came and could not wait to try them out. Check out each product I received and what I thought about them.

We use sunscreen while out at the park, back yard, or the beach. The bottle turns blue when there are UV rays from the sun. Even if it’s a over cast day. You can still have UV from the sunshine. You can see here from the bottle. It’s starting to turn blue right as I got it closer to our window inside our home.

Blue Lizard Baby Sunscreen – The name says it all. Baby Sunscreen is made to protect the most sensitive skin of them all. Pediatricians are also recommending this sunscreen, so it has to be the best. It is formulated to be SPF 30, Chemical-Free, Paraben-Free, and Fragrance-Free. The sunscreen goes on thick and covers very well.

Blue Lizard Face Sunscreen – Once again, the name says it all. This formula is made just for your face. You can use it other places as well, but it is best for the facial area. The face sunscreen is SPF 30 and a daily moisturizer. It is formulated with green tea and is antioxidant enriched along with being Paraben-Free, Fragrance-Free, and Oil Free.

Blue Lizard Regular Sunscreen – The regular sunscreen is designed for everyday use by everyone. It is SPF 30 and will last up to 240 minutes in the water, which is over the 80 minutes of regular sunscreen.

Blue Lizard Sensitive Sunscreen – Another one of my favorites along with the baby sunscreen. It is exactly the same as the other ones and is made for everyday wear.

Blue Lizard Sports Sunscreen – Last and certainly not least, is the sports edition. As you guessed, this one is made to stay put when you need it to and will not wear off.

Which sunscreen do you think would help your family out the most?

  18. I look for high SPF and waterproof formulas.

  19. Tricia Jorke says

I look for a couple things when looking for a sunscreen. I want a high SPF, something for eczema and something that doesn’t cost too much.

  20. *I look for avobenzone in a sunscreen; it is a common active-chemical ingredient, it penetrates the skin’s surface and helps absorb harmful UVA rays.

  21. * I like sunscreens with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, because they reflect the sun’s rays away from my skin, and they’re a good choice for my sensitive skin

  22. I usually consider the water resistance properties of a sunscreen, because very water-resistant or very sweat-resistant products will offer protection for my skin, up to 80 minutes of SPF shielding from the sun.

  23. I go for broad-spectrum coverage in a sunscreen, which helps protects against the age-related damage from both UVB and UVA sun rays.

  24. I need a sunscreen with an SPF of 40 or higher, because the performance of most sunscreens is usually lower than what is stated on the label. Also, I make sure that the sunscreen is water resistant and claims broad-spectrum protection.

  25. I usually try to avoid using spray sunscreens, because inhaling the spray sunscreen may pose some unknown risks. And, if I’m applying a spray sunscreen, I will put it on my hands first, and since some sprays are flammable, I let the sunscreen dry on my skin before I go near an open flame.
