We arrived with our bellies hungry and eyes bigger then our stomach! Metro Diner at the Lancaster, Pa location did not disappoint! The menu was drool worthy and deciding what we wanted to eat was a challenge.
Metro Diner has a commitment to creating meals from scratch, an award winning presentation, unique recipes and imaginative twists on old classics. The very FIRST Metro began in 1938 and was revived in 1992.
Featured in the picture above is their classic meatloaf meal. This is one of the three meals that they served when Guy Fieri, from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, featured them on the hit show on the Food Network. Let me tell you, this meal might be better then mine, and I take pride in my meatloaf! The portion sizes you get for the price you pay is amazing! I am literally drooling looking at this picture!
One thing my friend and I really love when we go out is coffee. And especially at restaurants you never know if it will be good or bad. Metro features a flavor of the month and the month we visited it was Jamaican me crazy, which just so happened to be our favorite flavor! We definitely scored a winner that month!
You can order from anything on the menu, breakfast, lunch or dinner all day! So that’s right, we tasted something from each! When you think of hash browns you just think potatoes right? Well at Metro you can get toppings on your hash browns! Oh Man! I got cheese and bacon and now I never want to eat regular hash browns again! And that cinnamon roll pancake was seriously mouth watering, that was a monthly special!
