Are you looking to make some sun tea but don’t have hours to wait? Well This is simple way to get a sweet tea brew fast and all while using Truvia. As pictured above, I put them in bigger sized Mason Jars. Now- IF you read my blog a lot, you may think I have an thing for jars. The truth is I do! I just love them. Old ones, new ones, big ones, and small ones. So any time I can use them for pretty much anything, I will try.

My husband loves tea, so he takes these to work with him. The best part is you can drink them right out of the jar. We are being earth conscious too! It’s a really simple process, so listen up.

You take the middle part of the lid off and then drap three tea bags around the jar with the top tabs hanging to the side.  Then you screw the rim part of the lid back on, so there is no tea bag falling into the cup.

Then you want to boil some hot water on the stove. Once that is nice and hot, fill your glass jars. They will be hot, keep that in mind. Fill your jars and then let them sit for a good half hour to cool down.

Once they are cooled down you can add in about as little or as much Truvia as you’d like to taste. I added in 2oz of Truvia For our taste buds.

I also did three teas out of my one pot. I did a Apricot, vanilla tea, regular sweet tea, and a lemon tea. The apricot vanilla was a Starbucks blend and is the more yellow one. The Darker one is regular sweet tea, finally the light medium one is the lemon flavored tea, I just squeezed a half lemon in for flavor. So there ya go! A super easy and sugar conscious drink. It tastes amazing with the Truvia.

This is a simple easy tip for any tea lover to do. You can even have it to go in your jar. You can add how much or as little as you’d like to your drink. Kick back an relax with some homemade brew and Truvia.

  1. I AM ALSO A TEA LOVER. I TEND TO STICK WITH JUST PLAIN TEA. I LOVE MY ICE TEA MAKER BUT DONT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. THEY WANT YOU TO PUT THE WATER IN THE BREWER & FILL THE PITCHER WITH ICE. WELL WHEN U DO THAT IT MAKES THE TEA CLOUDY. YUCK. MOM YOU KEEP AN OLD COFFEE POT & MAKE IT IN A COFFEE MAKER. WORKED TOO. SUN TEA IS JUST TOO IFFY THEY SAY LEAVING IT OUT CAN GET SALMONELLA & IT DOES NOT BREW STRONG ENOUGH FOR ME. THANKS

I love the idea of using mason jars for making sweet tea! Like you’ve shown here, it’d be an great, eco-friendly way to make individual servings of many different types of tea. We’re big sweet tea drinkers in my house, but everyone likes theirs a different way (super sweet, super lemony, decaffeinated etc.) so this is definitely and idea I’ll be using in the future.

  7. My husband is an avid tea drinker and is trying to cut back on sugar. We do like Truvia; I will be suggesting the switch!

I too love tea . I drink it all day. I like the idea of the mason jars so that the tag of the tea bag never falls in the drink. I usually use an artificial sweetener , sometimes Truvia
