Are you looking for something creative to bring to a party or give as a gift that will be a real crowd pleaser? Check out how to make a rainbow cake in a jar! It not only is a great treat to eat while on the go but also to store and save for later. It is so fun too!! This is super fun and adaptable to different jars or even cupcakes. Go crazy with it!! I love giving these to my kids friends for their special day. They just have a blast and feel like the coolest kid ever! You can even tie a spoon on the side with a nice ribbon.
Supplies:
-White Cake Box Mix
-Food Coloring
-Frosting
-Rainbow Sprinkles
-Mason Jar
Directions
-Mix your cake mix as directed on your box
-Seperate into 6 bowls, about 1/2 cup each
-Red: 15 drops Red food coloring
Blue: 15 drops Blue food coloring
Green: 15 drops Green food coloring
Yellow: 15 drops Yellow food coloring
Orange: 7 drops Yellow, 2 drops Red food coloring

-Beginning with purple, put enough in the bottom of your jar to cover the bottom, continue with each color stacking them on top
of one another
-Don’t fill your jar more than 1/2-3/4 of the way full
-Put in a deep dish and fill slightly with water, just enough to cover the bottom of the dish
-Bake for 25-30 minutes
-Allow to cool completely
-Frost and add rainbow sprinkles

Well, I know what I’ll be making my gay Son for his birthday! 🙂 this is adorable … Hope it tastes good!
This is so pretty. My granddaughters would be amazed if I made this (if I made it as well as you!).
This would make such a great gift! I absolutely love this idea! Thank you so much for so many great recipes! God bless everyone.
This is so different. I know the kids will love all the different colors.
Very pretty cake and neat idea. It looks like a bit of work though. I love the fact that many recipes and ideas are using jars these days.
