Looking for the perfect fun treat for your kids! This is easier then it looks and is not only pretty looking but yummy! Make your own icing to go along with it as well! The sky is the limit when you have rainbow cupcakes!!

Directions
-I used a basic vanilla cake box mix-
Divide batter into 4 bowls
Put 5 or more drops of food coloring into each bowl, you may need to do more if you are making yellow cake. Add more coloring if you want the colors more vibrant.
Once you mix up your colorful batter, grab a spoon for each color.
Spoon one spoonful of each color into the cupcake tin.
-I do one to the side of the cupcake, then the other color, Try to make the colors all appear from the top and not to over do the spoonfuls.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes (this is for 12 cupcakes) may have to a just bake time if you have more in there (Follow directions on cake mix box for baking cupcakes)

After they are baked let cool.

WHILE The cupcakes are cooling. Go ahead ad make the icing!

Icing Mix (Butter cream)
1 cup of soft (room tempt) butter- can achieve this with hard butter but putting both sticks in microwave for 30 seconds
3 cups of confection sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 table spoon of vanilla
5 table spoons of heavy cream (can do 4 tablespoons of milk too)
Grab a tropical punch flavored cool-aid packet. (can change flavor if you want)
Put about 2 tea spoons into the mix. mix well. If you think you need more, add more if you’d like.

-You add the butter and sugar together(gently mix in the sugar or you will have a giant cloud of sweetness)
Then add everything else while mixing on a slow speed.
Add the cool aid flavor at the end and enjoy once you are happy with the taste.
