The kitchen is one of the most used rooms in your home. Chances are that it is in need of a spring cleaning. Many people often choose to start their spring cleaning once the snow has started to melt. We are going to give you some tips on how to clean your kitchen, without spending a lot of time with this chore.
Start by putting away any dishes that are in the dishwasher or drain board. Tuck the drain board under the counter. This will free up some counter space and make your kitchen look less cluttered.
Next we will start with the counter top and appliances. Take a sponge or bucket filled with warm water and lemon juice. Dip the sponge into the water and squeeze out access water. Use the sponge to wipe down the refrigerator, stove, and counter tops. The lemon will give your home a fresh scent and also help to remove grease and grime. Replenish this solution if it happens to become dirty.
Next we will grab the broom and use it to sweep away any cobwebs from the ceiling that happened to form over the winter. Now that the cobwebs have been removed, now it is time to wipe down the wall plates. For this task, use a wet sponge or wet cloth with cleaning solution. Proceed to wipe down the wall plates. Use a wet sponge or cloth to wipe down door handles, cabinetry handles, the refrigerator door, and other areas that we often touch, but forget to clean.
Last but not least, it is time to move to the refrigerator. Remove all items from the fridge and wash down the refrigerator racks and door. Throw out any old food and expired condiments. Reorganize your fridge by placed similar items in the same area. Now that is all done, you will breathe a sigh of relief as your kitchen is now clean and ready to welcome spring.
