Ways to save on time and healthcare costs for pregnant women and babies is simple. Go to Walgreens Healthcare Clinic Philadelphia or any other one that is close to you and you will sure find huge savings. While I was pregnant I lived at our local pharmacy, always getting refills of my nausea pills. I always had ridiculous questions for the Walgreens Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioners. It’s so awesome they provide these services to us as well. It was a lot easier then calling a doctor and being on wait or even waiting like an hour or more for a call back. I even ended up getting the flu while pregnant and let me tell you that is “NO” walk in the park. I tried to get well at home with over the counter medicine. The fact that they Walgreens near me is open 24 hours was a plus when I decided at 3am, I MUST have this medicine now. If I did not get it, it was going to be the end of me. I can say this goes the same when allergies come around. You try to pretend you are fine until that moment hits and you’re just like what the heck, I’m going now. While I was pregnant I did not sleep much. I was always motivated to do stuff at awkward times. I was so happy that Walgreens offered these amazing services to me.

I also always wanted to talk or call my doctor for questions and concerns during the weekend. Another plus Walgreens healthcare clinic offers is they are open 7 days a week and weeknights!! Saves me some valuable time on calling up my doctor when I can go there and ask the Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner my random question. While Walgreens healthcare clinic Philadelphia was a great advantage for me, I had no clue how really helpful they are until I had my son. My son came early and was in the NICU for a week. A week does not sound long right now, but it was agonizing long drawn out hours each and every day. I hated it. I was not sleeping and spending nights in the family rooms provided to the NICU. My son was preemie and although he is doing great now,  I had been warned about his being more susceptible to getting sick and me just being a worry wart is dreadful of any kid getting sick. As soon as he was home, I made everyone wash hands. He was not going to be back in a hospital again. Not after all this! Well, unfortunately he got a little cold and fever hit. The fever chose to hit at midnight too. So we had to travel out to Walgreens and grab some infant fever reducer. It was a good thing they were open late. It provided him just enough relief to fall asleep and get that much needed rest. It also gave me time to wait and call his doctor for a checkup in the morning since he was feeling better.

Walgreens healthcare clinic treats kids in age ranges 18 months and older. You can even take your child there to get vaccines. Walgreens is a great place and is well known to my family, since all of our endeavors. It’s the one stop shop for medicine, snacks, questions, and more. They really understand the customer and know that everyone has a different life style. They really make it possible for us to get there, get what we need, and get on with our busy lives.

  1. Both of my girls were preemies and I know how scary it is to bring them anywhere when they’re sick. Even the pediatrician’s office. I wish I had known about this when my girls came home because I was a nervous wreck. #client
