This is a sponsored campaign with Mums the Word Network and World Market . All opinions are my own.
A global food to me is something that you can see around the world. Maybe it is slightly different or has a crazy spin on it. But the base can be found a ton of places. To me pancakes are a global food. No matter where I go, I feel it’s something every culture has is one way or another. Pancakes are so simple, cheap, and good.

With soccer season here and everyone going crazy, I love England. So I created a dish that made me think of England. When I think of England mixed with soccer. I am going for dense, sweet, and fun. Also something that is delicate but fills you up and gives you the energy to keep going. Even if it’s on a field.
Why not try some lavender pancakes with a strawberry orange topping. Not only will the pancakes be amazingly delicious but the topping is a tangy sweet tooth touch. It will fill you up and get your taste buds ready to take on the day. This is a great brunch idea too.
Ingredients
For Lavender Pancakes
1 1/2 cup of Carbon’s Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle Flour
1 cup of milk
1 tea spoon of fresh picked lavender
For Strawberry Orange Topping
1/4 cup of Mackays Dundee orange Marmalade
1/4 cup of fresh cut strawberries
1/2 cup of orange juice
2 tablespoons of sugar
pinch of lavender (optional)
First start by making your topping. Gather the ingredients and put them into he blender. Blend your orange marmalade, strawberries, juice, and sugar until it’s a smooth texture. Then set aside or in the fridge to chill.
Now you want to mix your pancake mix and milk together. Add in your lavender and whip it up for a minute. Make sure your pan is nice and hot on a low heat and spray with a cooking spray. Then pour a little bit of the pancake mix on the pan. Once you see some bubbles int he pancake you can go ahead and flip it. Let it sit there for about a minute or two and it’s done.
After your pancakes and made and it’s time to top them with your glaze. Then grab a fork and enjoy! Your taste buds will be satisfied and your stomach. You will ready to take on the day just like the England soccer team does.
