What is the perfect movie night? Who remembers the days of going to the move store to rent a movie? It wasn’t that long ago. Now we all would rather rent them from our own home or just buy the movie. Movies are so affordable to buy now. You can buy a movie for the cost of renting one. Do the math! You can watch it more then once, save money, and wear footed Pjs in adult sizes in your own home. Walmart has a a limited time pallet display! You can everything you need for the perfect movie night! You can grab some snacks, a movie, and popcorn all at not just one store but one spot in that store. How much more convenience do you need? Well besides delivery.
You can grab some Orville Redenbachers popcorn. You can also grab some M&M’s® and movie for a date night or family time. You can get all that greatness for under $20. Even if your on a budget or not call it a movie night and grab up the perfect combination of goodies and have at it. Just don’t forget your fun PJS!
We also love making up fun treats to go with our movies then sitting there and eating a big ole bag of popcorn. We spice it up a notch. We came up with a salty sweet treat! Popcorn Balls on a stick.
You Need
1/4 Peanut M&M’s®
1/4 Mini M&M’s®
2 1/2 cups Popcorn
1/4 Craisins
2 cups Mini Marshmallows
1/4 cup Melting white chocolate
First start by popping your Orville popcorn. Then put that into a bowl and add your craisins, mini M&M’s®, and peanut M&M’s® crushed up.Then you want to pop your marshmallows in the microwave for about 20-10 seconds until they start to rise.
Then take out and use a spoon to mix them all around good. I washed my hands and then scooped up a handful and made them into balls. I put the paper straw n it and compressed it a little more.
Then I melted the chocolate by microwaving for 15 seconds until smooth. I then got a spoon and drizzled white chocolate on top of the popcorn balls. I placed in the freezer for a few minutes and then they were ready t be enjoyed for our family movie night.

I usually go for simple snacks. Its less calories that way. But chocolate is my weakness. These look very good. Might try them once and will probably have to make them more often for the kids.

I have to run and buy some more chocolate now =) Thank you for the great idea. Popcorn balls get everything sticky, never thought about putting them on a stick.

I am so going to try this!! I wonder if it would work with homemade rice krispies too? Great idea! 🙂
Cute idea!
These look yummy. I tried to make popcorn balls the other day and they are really hard to do! Making them like rice crispy treats is a great idea.
These look both cute and tasty.
OMG Looks sooo good
These look delicious and will be fun to make with the kids.
These look yummy and I love the ingredients. My grandchildren will love making them and eating them. Thanks
This is a fun little snack…thank you for sharing.
This is a pretty awesome post. I never really thought about the fact that movies are pretty much the same cost nowdays – so true! I could rent a Redbox film for $2 a night, or buy one from the $5 bin to keep! I love the idea of the popcorn ON the ball. With four kids, traditional popcorn balls are … well, a sticky disaster. These would be perfect – only my hands would get the stickies. 😉 Thanks for the post – I will have to make these for my son’s movie nights!
