Want to know how to make the perfect chewy cookie? I’ll give you my lazy day hints! I love baking. I really do. I always have these grand ideas I am going to bake like 12 dozen cookies in one afternoon. I have done this before but at the time I had one kid. You won’t imagine how much easier it was with my one kid compared to my now 3 kids. They all want to help. I love when they help don’t get me wrong. It’s priceless memories to look back on how many times I had to pick out egg shells, or add extra water because way to much flour was used. It all turns out great.
This year I just got lazy! With both kids in school and 1 year old to add to the mix and two cats that want to bug me all day. I need to make great tasting cookies but fast! So This is your short cut. I swear they taste “can’t believe I’m saying this” better then mine. That could just be because I am not a big fan of peanut butter. I know I am crazy. These are to indulge for!
I also love adding cookies to tins and handing them out to friends and family for a small gift.
You will need
Premade doll Roll (The kind you buy at grocery store that looks like a giant sausage. I think I used Pillsbury for these.
Hershey Kiss
Melting Chocolate
zip Lock baggy
Holiday Sprinkles
First start but baking your cookies according to the directions on the packaging. Subtract 3 minutes from least amount of time to bake the cookies for. So if it says to bake for 10 minutes. Only bake for 7. Take them out of the oven and put your kisses in the middle. Then pop back in the oven for about a minute or two. If they already looked pretty done. Skip that part. Then take out and off the baking sheet to a cooling rack. Let cool completely.
OPTIONAL- I wanted a special touch. So I melted some chocolate and drizzled it on top of the cookies. You can buy melting chocolate and you put the chocolate in a bowl in the microwave for 15 seconds, mix, 15 more seconds, mix, repeat until it’s smooth. Then put a few spoonfuls into a corner of a zip lock baggy. Cut a very tiny bit of the corner off. Have you cookies sitting on wax paper and drizzle over the cookies. Then sprinkle them to your liking. Let harden and enjoy!
The cookies look so yummy!
I’ve always liked these. Pinning. 🙂
This is my favorite cookie year round, but I never thought to drizzle the chocolate on them. Great idea!

I’ve always wanted to make peanut butter cookies without crisscrossing the top with a fork. Maybe that’s old school but that’s the way I was taught to make them. Thank goodness there’s this recipe that I can now accomplish a better looking peanut butter cookie!! Thank you for sharing 🙂
I make these cookies every Xmas, but I mix a peanut butter cookie batter. While still hot I press the kisses in the middle, and then cool off in the refrigerator to set the kisses.
I love these but did not have a recipie thank you
