Holidays are a big time for extra guests. This year I get to host all our dinner parties or friends get together at my house. It is so fun to do but also exhausting. I want to have a great tome together but not one where all my guest are having fun or waiting on me while I am in the kitchen. I want to also have amazing tasting food. Always on the look out for fun times but simple entertaining. I want to have that great food but without the hours I have to normally put in the kitchen.
Nestle and Stouffers really help bring the extra wow to the parties. I has used NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Dark Chocolate Peppermint Refrigerated Cookie Dough, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, and Rolled & Ready Sugar Cookie Dough Sheets. These all made my extra special desserts just so simple to make. The big part of the job was done for me.
I made the STOUFFER’S® Party Size Entrées (Lasagna with Meat & Sauce) for our Holiday dinner get together. It was a matter of putting it in the oven and it came out looking like I made it! I may or may NOT have added it to the glass dish to make my guest think I did make it for a second. We also had one extra guest come. I was so glad we got the party size because we had plenty for us and a few drop ins.
As for dessert I made a quick Dark Chocolate Peppermint fudge, peanut butter cream filling topped with star sugar cookies, and also chocolate chip cups. We can not forget about the chocolate chip cookies. Those are like a staple for every gathering. O it’s Tuesday, let’s make Nestle Toll House cookies.
We all had such a blast and I had a fun time actually spending time with my friends because of extras steps I didn’t have to take to prepare dinner and dessert. Everyone left happy and full. It was a great time. It was also nice to save time cleaning up. Most of everything was prepped and ready to go, I had like 1/3 the dishes I normally do. This is simple entertaining and more quality time with friends and family.
I like how you added the names on each plate. Looks really cute! 🙂 Especially the dark chocolate fudge looks delicious
I, too, have already begun simplifying when I have guests for supper. It’s either most prepared ahead of time or done last minute as they come in the door. It also helps to have others bring dishes. As a result of the invitation, most are more than glad to contribute to the meal. I love making name tags also and try to do different ones each time. It does make it so much easier on the host & hostess and you do get to sit down and converse with your company!
I love the leaves and acorns on the table. That gave it such a nice touch.
