Stopping Over Thinking Date Night

Being a parent is hard work. Not to mention finding time to spend time with your significant other and take a small “break” from being a parent. If that’s even what you would consider it. Date night is a thing in the past. My fiance and I have been together for 3 years. Raising our son has been exhausting not to mention my girls! We sometimes forget to even say good bye to each other. So on weekends to make sure we find time for each other in this amazing, incredible life. We created a little jar filled with ideas. They have small popsicle stick in it. The green ones are ones he came up with and pink of course are mine. We each choose one from the jar. I choose a green one at random and he does for a pink one. We both get something we want to do with each other.  This really helps us find time for each other if only for a few minutes.

In our idea jar are several small but fun things we enjoy doing and sometimes forget to do. Some ideas include holding hands, watching a movie, and O lala French kiss. We also added in there a stick that puts both of us at a compromise,  K-Y Yours and Mine. Its self explanatory that is something for each of us. Sometimes we will do a double pick just in the hopes of finding this fun idea. With the Holidays in swing and full blown it’s harder to remember this jar. It takes two seconds to do something and how ever long to complete those task are up to you guys! It’s a nice break for both of us, no matter what we are doing.
