(Check with your local Target before you bring a dog)
If you have visited your local Target lately, you may have noticed big changes near the pharmacy. Inside every Target store is now a CVS Pharmacy, making this busy moms life so much easier.
Running around the past few weeks has made me feel a bit like a chicken, you know the one with it’s head cut off? I needed to get school supplies, school clothes, back packs, school snacks and an inhalers for school. Thankfully, with CVS being inside Target now I can get all that stuff in one stop!
All of Target’s 1,672 pharmacies across 47 states are now CVSs. Seventy-nine Target clinic locations will be rebranded as MinuteClinic, and CVS Health will open up to 20 new clinics in Target stores within three years.
The change only impacts easy of access. If you were previously a Target pharmacy customer, your pharmacy has changed to CVS Pharmacy. CVS Pharmacy has your prescription records on file and you can access and refill your prescriptions on CVS.com or by visiting CVS Pharmacy inside Target. If you had enrolled your Target prescriptions in an automatic refill process, CVS Pharmacy will continue to automatically refill your prescriptions for you.
Now that your pharmacy changed, you can sign up for Prescription Management to access your prescriptions online. If you are currently a CVS Pharmacy customer, you can refill your prescriptions at a CVS Pharmacy location within a Target store if that is more convenient for you.
You don’t even have to have your doctor send a new script. CVS Pharmacy will take care of everything for you, and your prescriptions that were in the Target system automatically transferred to the CVS Pharmacy system.
