The New year has started and what are your plans? One of my plans is to travel more. Not just out of state or across the world. Realistically I can’t do that just yet with a 3,6,8 year old at home and in school. I can travel an hour or a few away. We can plan weekend trips. I can plan evening hikes for an hour with the kids. So many options we can do and I’m so excited to bust that barrier and just explore. We spend all of our time too planning or dreaming of things were gonna do. We never really think of how to get there, we just do it. What if your car breaks down or what not. That would be horrible.
Some simple tips is to keep your car up on maintenance. It really sucks to skip an oil chnage that would of cost a nickel compared to what can happen if you drive around with dirty oil. Or a tire that keeps getting low but you have no spare just incase it decides to blow while your on your drive to the super anticipated travel destination. Maybe it’s a drive without the kids because your lovely parents got them. Every minute counts in that alone time, don’t waste it fixing last minute mishaps. All thought they don’t always turn out to be bad!
So while your planning your awesome back road, or across the country trip. Maybe sure all your ducks are in a row and not just the here and there plans but also the dotted lines to get from here and there.
Another thing I am looking forward to in 2017 is getting a puppy! YES, a puppy! Not just any puppy but a Bernese Mountain Dog. I’ve had my heart set on one for awhile now and while there are none located around me. I found a friend that is going to have puppies coming in the spring. They live a little far away so we will be taking our truck to pick up that tiny beast. It’s a more roomy ride and honestly my husband gets to drive his truck while I get to snuggle that new baby!
It’s funny to think of a truck as something exciting to use for transportation. We love our truck, car, and everything. They help get us from point a,b,c,d,z. They make getting to a hiking trail easy or picking up a future family pet simple. It’s the little things that matter. Steel Matters and its a big part of most of our lives.
