West End and Broadway

All opinions are mine and mine alone.

For the spians, fans of history, and lovers of culture, nothing beats a trip to see a world-class musical or play. And for those truly devoted to seeing the best performances possible, this means taking a trip to the finest theater districts in the world. The two reigning champions are in London and New York: West End and Broadway, respectively. Though both cities are notoriously expensive, eager travelers can make their trips more affordable and try a few strategies to score cheaper tickets to attend their favorite shows.

For a trip to see a legendary production, tickets are a pricey must. Those who can afford a trip to London, however, can save a lot on the cost of admission compared to their U.S. counterparts. Tickets on Broadway are nearly twice as expensive as tickets for shows in West End. If international travel is possible and you want to see more than one show, or are traveling with a group, you can save a lot by attending shows in West End.

Though tickets are much cheaper in West End than Broadway, keep in mind that both districts show different performances. You’ll have to plan ahead if you want to see your favorite production. Also, note that some cultural adaptions are made for U.S. and U.K. audiences. The show might not be what you expect if you’re traveling, but this just adds to the local flavor, or flavour, if you prefer. Get packing, and look forward to making your dreams come true with a show or two in one of these legendary districts.
