All opinions are mine and mine alone.
If you don’t yet have a car, then you’re most likely used to constantly checking the time to make sure that you don’t miss the bus or train, and then checking again to make sure that now you’re on it, you still have enough time to walk from the station to get to your location, or maybe you’re cutting it rather close so you may have to jog part of the way to ensure that you arrive on time. This puts a big restriction on your life because you are always having to rely on someone or something to get your from A to B. But just imagine how much things would change if you had your own vehicle instead. You could leave and take off wherever you wanted without having to worry about getting to where you needed to go. And that changes the whole game entirely, because you will get your own sense of independence and freedom – something you should have as an adult anyway.
Maybe you don’t know how to drive yet, or you don’t have the funds to maintain owning a car, but it’s important that you know that there are solutions everywhere. You can learn how to drive, no matter how long it takes you. The longer you wait, essentially the more difficult things will become, so bite the bullet and book yourself in for some lessons. Yes, it can be nerve-wracking, but that’s completely normal, and as long as you find a qualified instructor – you’ll be in safe hands. If on the other hand, you can’t afford to buy a car, that’s what loans are for. Most people can’t buy a brand new one unless they have a lot of money kept away in savings, or they’ve just won the lottery. You also need to think about the other costs like possible Audi extended warranty from Carchex, as well as tax, ownership fees, and insurance. So taking out a loan is your best bet, just make sure you read up on all the interest rates until you find the right deal to suit your circumstances. Then all you have to do is pay it back little by little every month until you’re all sorted.
So now there are no more excuses. But if you need a little more convincing – here are all the ways owning a car makes your life easier.
It’s convenient.
As mentioned earlier, having your own car is an easy means of getting around without having to rely on anything else. It gives you a convenient option of going out and doing things without worrying about anything standing in your way, because as long as you have the fuel, you can go as far as you please, and take any route that you wish to. No more having to ask your parents to give you a lift somewhere – you can get from A to B all by yourself.
It’s easy to shop.
Whether you do your grocery shopping every week, or every month, it’s never easy trying to carry multiple bags in each hand while you make your way onto a bus full of people. Especially if they’re heavy, which they most likely will be, and then having to walk however far until you get home. If you have your own car, you will never have to worry about having to do this again because you’ll be parked right outside the shop. Then you can just place everything in the trunk and drive home.
It saves time.
If you have a child and they’re still going to school, then pairing that up with public transport can be an absolute nightmare. Trying to get your child fed, dressed, washed and ready, as well as making sure you’re out of the house and waiting at the right bus stop on time. Failure to do so, resulting in your child being late for school. And even if you don’t miss it, you still have to follow a route full of stops. This can get very stressful, especially when you’re having to do it five times a week, as well as getting yourself off to work too. But if you have a car, you can do everything at your own pace.
It can carry a group.
If you want to go out somewhere with a group of your friends or family, you can do this in your own vehicle as there are cars like SUVs that can carry around six to eight passengers, making this the ideal excuse to go on a road trip. Plus, doing this can greatly lower your costs of transport because everyone can chip in a little when it comes to the fuel. You could even plan little trips like this regularly whenever you all have some free time on your hands, and drive off somewhere that you’d like to explore together and create fun memories while you all still can.
It’s safer.
Cars are actually a lot safer to travel in than public transport. One of the most obvious reasons for this is because it contains seatbelts for every single passenger in the car. But not only that, cars are specifically designed to make sure that all safety features are secure enough to give people what they need to avoid an accident. This means things like airbags, collision detection, tire pressure, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and brake assistance. And these all add up to give you the best kind of protection possible.
So why wait any longer without a car? You can see how much your life can greatly benefit from owning one, so don’t waste any more time. Do whatever you need to do first, and then you can enjoy the fun of going out and searching for your new baby to bring home. One of the most important things to remember is to buy for what you need first, and then you can look at what you want. Make sure that the vehicle caters to you and your lifestyle. Never just buy on impulse because it looks pretty and the salesperson is pushy. Take as much time as you need when deciding what the best car is for you.
