Top Tips for Planning a Bachelorette Party
One of the biggest responsibilities as a Maid of Honor is to throw the bride an epic bachelorette party. The more unique and thrilling you make it, the better, because this is the best excuse to go all out for a big night out. Not only that, but the bachelorette party is an event that the bridal party is sure to attend and likely to chip in on to help you finance an epic party for everyone. Follow these tips in order to get organized and you’ll be sure to throw that perfect party:
Choose the Best Date
A bachelorette party isn’t complete without the bridal party and any close friends not included as a bridesmaid. That’s why your first responsibility is to find a date that everyone can be free one. You won’t be able to account for emergencies, but you can at least ensure that there is nothing pressing on the day when you start planning. The earlier you coordinate with everyone the bride wants to invite, the better. That way they can work around the date.
Budget with Everyone
Just because you are the Maid of Honor does not mean you have to pay for the bachelorette party. Unless you’re given a budget by the bride herself, try to work it out with those attending. If you have a large bridal party, something as small as $20 per person can be enough. The more everyone is willing to pitch in, the better. Get this pledge (and the money) before you start booking and paying for events so that you don’t end up overspending yourself.
Keep It Unique to Her
Bachelorette parties themselves, of course, don’t have to involve partying late into the night but they should be limited to her friends. The more unique and creative your planning, the better. If she likes solving puzzles, then you can go to an Escape Room OKC. If she likes nature, you can go to an outdoor retreat, and so on. The point is to cater her bachelorette party to her and what she likes to do. The more unique it is, the more special it will feel.
Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party
Bridal showers are a bit different to bachelorette parties, and the difference typically lies in who is invited. Whereas bachelorette parties are for the bride and her friends to enjoy a night out, bridal showers can involve her parents, grandparents, and other older loved ones that wouldn’t necessarily enjoy going out with the bride and all of her friends. You can easily organize a bridal shower on top of your bachelorette party simply by finding a nice restaurant and making a reservation. By planning both, you can involve all members of her family and help her celebrate her wedding with even more flair.
There are no rules when it comes to a bachelorette party, only that you do your best to make it an event that the bride will love. As the Maid of Honor, you likely know her better than anyone, meaning you are the perfect candidate to throw an incredible party no matter the theme.
