1. Full Throttle
This roller coaster is located at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California. During its opening, it featured the world’s tallest vertical loop at a whopping 160 feet (49m). Full Throttle also pioneered the top-hat feature. It is designed by Premier Rides and was launched on June 22, 2012. It is astoundingly launched from 0 to 70 miles per hour (110 km per hour). The riders inversion drops down into a tunnel.The riders are taken into a back and forth motion and the ride climaxes at the top hat as it makes its way back to the station. The train ride extends over 2200 feet and it is done in under a minute! If this ride does not make you scream, what will?
2. Leviathan
This rollercoaster is undisputedly Canada’s fastest and tallest coaster. It is located at Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario. The Leviathan stands at 306 feet(193m) tall, 5486 feet (1672m) long and features a tremendous top speed of 92 miles per hour(148 Km/h). It launched on May 6, 2012. The ride’s duration is 3 minutes and 28 seconds and has been described as an incredible thrill. This coaster towers so high at 306 feet and is classified as a Giga coaster, coasters that surpass 300 feet (91m) height. At that height and tremendous 148 km/h speed, who wouldn’t scream?
3. Formula Rossa
This coaster was inspired by Formula one making it fastest in the world! It is located at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. At speeds of 240 km/h Formula Rossa is the undisputed speedster of all coasters. It launches for 0 to 240 km/h in just under 5 seconds! No race car can beat this record. At such high speeds, riders are required to wear protective glasses throughout the ride. Its track extends over 2.2 Km and scales over a height of 52 meters. This ride definitely gives you an adrenaline rush and is sure to make you scream your guts out.
4. Wicked Twister
Wicked Twister proudly holds the title of the tallest and fastest roller coaster. This combination of extremes is quite a thrill in itself and is sure to leave you screaming meemies. It is located at Cedar Point in Ohio, USA. It features two 215 feet (66m) tall spikes with ends designed with 450 degrees vertical twists. The train is propelled by successive launches that accelerate it to a top speed of 72 miles per hour (116km/h). It is classified as a strata coaster and they are only two of them in the world. A strata roller coaster is basically any coaster that makes a complete-circuit with a height between 400 and 499 feet (122-152m).
5. Takabisha
It is located at Fuji-q in Japan proudly holds the title of being the steepest in the world. It was started operations on July 16, 2011. It features a steep drop angle of 121 degrees that is just hair-raising. The ride goes as high as 141 feet (43m) and then descends towards the mind-bending 121 degrees steep drop and takes just slightly over 2 minutes. You are sure to come out of this completely mind-blown and probably trembling. If you are an adrenaline rush kind of person, this drop will surpass your wildest imaginations by far.
6. Steel Dragon 2000
It is the longest, extending over 8133 feet (2478m) long. Its track covers 2.48 Kilometers and takes a while to complete. It is located in Nagashima Spa Land amusement park, Japan. It became operational in 2000. This coaster goes through two tunnels, figure eights and completes the ride with a 30-story drop that drives excitement throughout your body!
