4 Destination Wedding Myths Debunked

Wedding day is the most important day for a couple and they want everything to be perfect, from food to dress to music to decoration. However, managing everything can be a bit overwhelming which is why people choose to have a destination wedding these days as they are more fun and easier to manage.

With that being said, destination weddings are somewhat misinterpreted by people because of the false stories they hear about such events.  These myths tend to downgrade destination weddings but despite of the false rumors, it is still a popular choice among couples.  Let’s have a look at four common destination wedding myths and debunk them:

  1. No One Comes To A Destination Wedding

Since a destination wedding involves travelling to a different city or a country, people often believe that no one comes to a destination wedding. The reality is that 75% of people say yes when it comes to going on a destination wedding.

This is because there are more reasons to say yes than to say no. A destination wedding is a fun filled event that caters to everyone’s needs in terms of food, lavish accommodation and other needs.

So, if you are planning to make a list of 200 guests then keep in mind that at least 150 will be approving to come with you on your big day. However, you can eliminate children from it and have a honeymoons for adults only  as children are more likely to skip such events due to school and other such commitments.

  1. Destination Weddings Are Boring

Destination weddings are far from boring. Couples opt for a destination wedding because they are nothing like a traditional wedding. Firstly, the place chosen for a destination wedding is a treat itself. Mostly, couples go for beach wedding venues or resorts because they have tons of activities for everyone involved.

Destination weddings are as exciting for guests as they are for the couple because it’s a sort of a vacation for everyone. People not only enjoy the wedding ceremony, food and music but also have other activities to enjoy.

So all in all, destination weddings are not only exciting for couples but for everyone else who’s on board.

  1. Way Too Expensive To Handle

A destination wedding does look expensive but if done smartly and in the right manner, it can be affordable.

Compare the cost of a destination wedding to the cost of a normal wedding and you will realize how they are affordable. Firstly, you will save on a lot of expenses, such as decors etc., if you plan properly.

Just pick a nice resort for the wedding and you do not have to worry about the decors. Other than this, food is also taken care of. You can just let the resort know of your plan and they will handle everything for you.

Other than this, the couple can save on the honeymoon as well. You can decide to have your honeymoon in the same city as the wedding, and save on honeymoon expenses.

  1. Destination Weddings Are Bound To Fail

Weddings can be quite taxing for everyone involved. You have to take care of so many things, from food to venue to music etc., but such things are well taken care of in case of a destination wedding.

You only have to find a venue that is good at handling destination weddings and all will be taken care of. Guests will be well taken care of by the staff and you will not have to worry about anything, so make sure to be careful about this point as it can be the difference maker.

If you are looking forward to make your wedding day a memorable one then go for a destination wedding.
