Must-Have Scuba Diving Essentials Every Scuba Diver Needs

All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Scuba diving is an adventurous sport that you’d definitely want to try out one day! While I haven’t had the opportunity to go and swim among the land of the undiscovered, I have done my research on the activity and would like to share it with you guys.

Now, I understand that scuba diving is not one of the common sports and adventure activities we can simply do. There are multiple training programs, different tools you need during the scuba diving and a whole lot of stamina your body must have. Apart from the training and stamina building, here is a list of absolute essentials you need for your scuba diving adventure:

1. Jacket BCDs

A BCD Jacket or a buoyancy control jacket is an essential tool to have, especially if you’re a beginner. This jacket lets you control your body’s pressure, remain neutral in the water and not get overwhelmed by the water current.

There are multiple kinds of BCDs available in the market but the most convenient is the BCD jacket. It straps around your waist and shoulders to give you complete strength and stability against the pressure of the water. Visit scubalist.pro for details about different kinds of BCD jackets available and choose the right one for you.

2. Wet and Dry Suits

Just as important as your gear are your wet and dry suits. The wet suit is for you to wear during your experience underwater. This is made of a strong fabric that ensures minimal damage, even when you scratch across some rocks.

The dry suit is for you to change into, immediately after you’ve swum among the gorgeous sea creatures. Dry suit will make sure you are able to enjoy swimming and change into parachute, which does not absorb water so you’re able to tone your body temperature down.

3. Diving Mask and Tank

Of course it is no news that you cannot breathe on your own underwater. You need to have a diving mask adjusted as per your face, underwater, connected to your oxygen tank. You need to make sure you wear your diving mask during training sessions. This will ensure you are adjusted to wearing it underwater. This is an essential part of your training so you’re able to feel comfortable when in the actual underwater journey.

4. Pressure Regulator

This is a device that can connect to your oxygen mask and regulate the pressure of air inside your tank to adjust as per the pressure outside. This is an important device as it decides the amount of pressure you require to stay stable parallel to the pressure you’re getting from your surroundings. Make sure this regulator is tested in high currents for you to understand its full capacity.

5. Underwater Camera

We can talk about scuba diving essentials all day long and come up with hundreds of cool tech-savvy tools that make the journey easier. However, I believe making memory should also be an essential part of your trip. And while you’re making memories, it is important you are capturing them and preserving them.

Take a water proof underwater camera that is fit for your journey. This camera works exactly like your regular camera, only, underwater! As you make new friends underwater, you can click pictures and make them stay forever! Now, that’s a scuba diving essential I’m definitely getting!
