Staying On Disney Property Has Its Benefits
When you stay on property at Walt Disney World, you’re given a customizable Magic Band with your name on it. This Magic Band is your room key, credit card, and park ticket.
It’s important to always have your Magic Band on while on the property because it gets you virtually everywhere. It’s even the thing you scan when using FastPasses inside the park.
Those staying on property can also book FastPasses 60 days in advance instead of the usual 30.
Don’t worry about the credit card being linked to your Magic Band though. You set a unique pin at the beginning of your trip, and don’t have to give access to everyone in your party.
Staying on Disney property is worth any money you might save by staying elsewhere.
While staying off property might be cheaper, you may have to drive to the parks. If you drive, you might have to rent a car, and then you’re spending unnecessary money.
By staying on Walt Disney World property, you’re guaranteeing that you won’t have to worry about transportation inside the resort. There are buses, Minnie vans, boats, a skyline, and the monorail that can get you everywhere you need to go.
Learning the transportation system beforehand helps to eliminate any confusion while using it, but asking a cast member for help is just as easy.
Disney’s buses link you to pretty much anywhere on Disney property, including Disney Springs, various Disney Hotels, and even the Boardwalk Villas.
Disney’s Boardwalk Villas
The Boardwalk Villas is a resort with the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. There are villa-style timeshares complete with kitchens, waterfront views, and easy access to the nightlife the boardwalk below has to offer.
The Boardwalk Inn is located within the same resort and offers similar access to the amenities. The Boardwalk Villas are also located closest to Epcot, which offers a monorail ride straight to the Magic Kingdom.
Note: Timeshares are fantastic opportunities to own a vacation home. But you can fall victim to scams. Be careful when buying one and seek advice from timeshare exit companies if you feel you are being mistreated while trying to handle your ownership of a particular property.
There’s a large pool on site complete with a waterslide.
Night Life
For those over 21, the Boardwalk Villas offer direct access to the bars and clubs located on the boardwalk.
Jellyrolls offers a dueling piano show over dinner and drinks. Atlantic Dance lets you boogie your heart away with friends. Abracadabar offers creative cocktails or simple glasses of wine to be paired with charcuterie or flatbread.
Family Time
Here it is, the entire reason you might be planning this fun-filled trip to Walt Disney World. The BoardWalk Villas, along with the many other hotels on Disney property, offers no shortage of fun for kids of all ages.
You and your family can swim at resorts in between park trips or meet characters while you wait for the fireworks to start in the Magic Kingdom. Shop around for souvenirs at the Boardwalk or inside the park, no matter the time of day.
Disney Value Resorts
Staying on Disney property doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, there are several value resorts to choose from that won’t break the bank.
You can camp under the stars at the Fort Wilderness Campground. The Pop Century resort carries its guests through the fabulous fads of the 19050s through the 1990s.
The Art of Animation Resort guides its guests through exactly that. It’s themed around Disney and Pixar animated films like “Finding Nemo,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “The Lion King.”
The All-Star Movies Resort features whimsical portrayals of famous Disney characters from films like “101 Dalmations” and “Toy Story.” You can even Sorcerer Mickey stream jets of water all day long at the pool!
All-Star Music Resort features a guitar-shaped pool here you’ll be greeted by The Three Caballeros, Donald Duck, José, and Panchito. (Did you know these three have their own ride in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot?) The music-themed rooms and dining area make it easier than ever to listen to your inner song.
The All-Star Sports Resort is perfect for the sports lover, or anyone looking to salute competitive sports on their vacation. The resort celebrates basketball, football, baseball, surfing, and tennis with two pools, sporty decor, and an end-zoned dining area.
Have Fun Exploring
The fun thing about the Walt Disney World Resort is how many surprises are hidden around every corner. If you find something, take the time to ask a cast member about it, or do some searching on your smartphone.
Hidden Mickeys can be found no matter where you’re at in the resort. They’re everywhere, and there’s even a guidebook you can purchase in the park to help you find them all.
While you’re in the Magic Kingdom, make a stop at the fire station right by the entrance and ask for a deck of cards to play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom as you walk through the park.
