Create The Perfect Office At Home This Month

All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Now that 2021 has arrived and there is still no sign that we will be back at work soon; it is important for a lot of us to consider a more permanent option for working at home. If you have not set up a proper home office yet and have been making the most of your sofa or dining table – now is the time to invest and ensure that your home is a haven for your work. Today we want to show you some of the ways you can create a simple home office that works for you and that will allow you to be productive.

Invest in lighting

The first thing to consider in your home office is lighting. It is important to have bright lights in your office for those gloomy days when the natural light outside the window doesn’t illuminate the room enough. You need good lighting such as Olympia Lighting in your office because it will promote alertness and also productivity. It will allow you to stay awake and alert during your workday and will ensure that you do not fall asleep at your desk!

Design for comfort

It is important to design your office space for your own comfort and invest in a brilliant chair that supports your back as well as is to your personal taste. Your chair needs to be both comfortable and supportive because you will spend a lot of time in this chair every week. Ensure that the room itself is built for comfort too with some simple features like a candle for scent, some plants for oxygen, and soft furnishings for warmth and homeliness. Remember that this is your room and you can do whatever you want with it. Make it your own and have some fun with the design.

Consider space

When designing an office space it is important for you to consider space under your desk and on top of it. If you are the kind of person that likes using pen and paper in your work you will need to ensure that even with your computer on the desk you have the space to comfortably write and create on your desk. You also need to consider leg space underneath your desk because the last thing you want is leg cramp!

Keep things organised

It is important that your home office is kept organised and tidy and to do this you should consider getting some box files and folders and installing a shelf or cupboard to store them. This will allow you to keep important paperwork in your folders organised and out of the way, and it will make the room look less cluttered.

Make it inspiring

Above all else your home office should be a place that inspires you. Instead of clinical colours you’ll find in most office buildings consider instead investing in coloured paint for the walls as well as some fun posters or artwork that make the space feel more like you.

Have fun creating your perfect home office with these things in mind.
