Is Jaguar a Family-friendly Car?  

Luxury cars are not always associated with family friendliness. Jaguar has changed that mindset over the years, and now contains some of the most family friendly cars in the industry. There are a lot of key features, and plenty of reasons to buy into the Jaguar brand.  

History 

Jaguar is a UK brand that was created in 1935. You can now find them everywhere,  including a jaguar dealer near goodyear. Luxury is closely tied to the brand, followed closely by its extensive sports car models. Jaguar is the company that popularized all wheel drive on their sedans, and seems to be the only company that consistently offers this feature. KBB values on Jaguars are fantastic, as even the more niche of their models hold value with high mileage. Their tagline is “The Art of Performance” and is something that has defined the company for generations. With over 80 years in the business, they are one of the oldest, and most respected car manufacturers in the industry.  

What Makes a Car Family Friendly? 

Safety, space, and cost of ownership. These are the three things that makes a car family friendly. You can have all of the features in the world, but there are some things that can’t be ignored. The family friendly crowd is not interested in cutting edge tech if it doesn’t meet the bare minimum of their needs. This is where Jaguar got creative, and where a lot of the hard work paid off.  

Safety 

The all-wheel drive isn’t just for show. In slippery conditions, you want traction on all four tires. Without a great driver behind the wheel, sedans lacking AWD falter in unfavorable conditions like rain or snow. When your child is in the backseat, it’s easier to be confident when the car is prepped for the worst.  

Space 

Speaking of the backseat, is there enough space? A common complaint about hybrid SUV’s is that they have less space than a car. That means putting in a car seat for children forces either the driver or the passenger to sit uncomfortably close to the dash. And in some instances, putting the car seat in the middle of the back seat is not even an option! Family friendly cars will always have enough space for comfort without sacrificing it in other areas. This includes a big trunk, large backseat and plenty of room for the front.  

Cost of Ownership 

There is a reason jaguar certified mechanics exist. Despite the myth about overpriced brand mechanics, consumers have found that it offers a better experience. A family friendly car will have specialized shops and mechanics that resolve your issues in its entirety. Having an inexperienced mechanic working on your family car is nightmare fuel for any family.  

Current Prices and the Future 

Jaguar has done a good job of staying competitive with their prices. Buying a family sedan with less features costs almost as much as anything in the mid-tier Jaguar lineup. The company understands the market, and consumers have already begun seeing a strong shift in the right direction for family cars. Automakers are gaining new insight, and consumers are getting more choices when making a purchase.  

A New Age 

As a worldwide brand, Jaguar continues to impress consumers with their reach. It’s a family friendly car that maintains its luxury roots. For the new year, there is nothing quite like a Jaguar vehicle.
