Why Buy A Brand New Car?

All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Used cars may be a lot cheaper, but new cars still have their advantages. From saving fuel to reducing maintenance, there are many reasons why people buy new cars. Below are some of the different motives for buying a new car explained.

Customization

Buying brand new allows you to buy directly from the manufacturer. Many car manufacturers offer a variety of customizable features including the color of the bodywork, the color of the interior, choice of tires and even customizable dashboard features. This can allow you to design your dream vehicle without having to modify the vehicle after purchase. The level of customization varies depending on the brand and model. Bentley and Rolls-Royce offer the most limitless bespoke services, but other brands like MINI, Ford and Volswagen have also been improving their personalization service.

New technology

New cars typically have the newest tech. New BMW cars are particularly known for their innovative gadgetry, as are Audi cars. This tech can excite many drivers and be a huge reason for buying a new car. Older cars may not have features like touchscreen infotainment, in-built cameras and RFID car keys, whereas almost all new cars are certain to have this tech.

Fuel savings

The fuel efficiency of new cars has drastically improved in recent years. While you’re likely to spend more upfront for a new car, you could save money in the long run when it comes to fuel. Hybrids are particularly fuel-efficient options as they are able to run off electricity and charge as they are driving. You could consume half as much fuel in a hybrid than you would in a regular petrol or diesel vehicle. Given that gas prices keep soaring, this is a good incentive to buy a new vehicle.

Better safety

New cars are designed to be much safer than older cars. Many of their new tech features are designed to make driving safer. These features include automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, traction control settings and in-built front/rear-facing cameras. This improved safety could be something to consider when buying a family vehicle. You can look up safety ratings of new vehicles online to compare the top manufacturers. Brands like Volvo are renowned for their high level of safety.

Reliability

The more mileage a vehicle has done, the more wear and tear there is likely to be to parts. As a result, heavily used cars have a reputation for not being as reliable – you’re much more likely to deal with frequent issues that need repairing, which can be inconvenient and costly. New cars may not experience any mechanical problems for several years. As a result, they’re less of a headache and you don’t have to worry about budgeting for emergency repairs. Sometimes problems can still occur in new cars, but if these are not caused by the driver it is likely that they will be covered by a warranty. Kia is known for offering one of the longest warranties at 7 years or 100,000 miles.
