If you have a real good look in your car you will probably notice that there are certain items that always seem to be there like a rogue jumper, old receipts, empty food packets and items like moisturizer, these aren’t really the essentials that you should be keeping in your car but what are? While you may deem some of the items that you keep in your car as essentials it’s important to know what things you’re likely to really in case of an emergency. As well as being on top of areas such as road and having the correct car insurance by getting Car Insurance quotes there are some things you should always make sure you have in your car.
Let’s have a look at the four things that every woman should have in her car:
An Emergency Backpack
Much like a bag that you would grab in case of a natural disaster your car needs to have one in the boot of your car. You should include items such as:
- A torch
- A change of clothes for you and the family
- Water
- A few bin bags
- Toilet paper
- Matches
- Some snacky food
- A blanket
- First aid kit
Think of it as a mini survival kit and you’ll soon be thinking of ways to personalise it to your needs such as adding in small games for the kids or any medication you might need.
First Aid Kit
It’s definitely a good idea to make sure you have a first aid kit in the back of your car especially if you’re going on a long journey or have kids. You never know when you’re going to need one, even if it is just for a blister because of walking all day on a day out. You should make sure it contains items like plasters, bandages and antiseptic wipes and then anything you and your family may need in an emergency. You could look to get a ready-made kit online if you want to guarantee you have everything you need.
Blankets Or Towels
It doesn’t matter what sort of climate you live in towels and blankets are a really useful item to have in your car. Now you don’t need to unload the contents of your airing cupboard a few will suffice. From it being cold on your daily commute to breaking down in cold weather it’s a staple that should be in any car, especially if you have children.,
Hidden Money
Although it seems like we can now pay for just about anything with our cards and now even your phone, it’s still advised to have some hidden cash in your car. In some situations, cash is the only way and you don’t want to be left stuck. Whether you need to get an emergency taxi, jump on the train or you thought you had enough petrol but your car suddenly dies having a little extra spare money hidden away in your car could be a lifesaver. Make sure never to have it in sight though as this can encourage people to break into your car.
These are just four of the key items that every woman should have their car, do you have any others that you can share in the comments below?
