New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans is a truly wonderful city, but the thing that’s better than anything else about it is the people. They’re such a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the city, and that’s one of the things that you’ll notice first when you visit New Orleans for the very first time; there’s no doubt about that. If you want to experience the best of the city, be sure to visit New Orleans.
Charleston, South Carolina
If you’ve never been to Charleston, South Carolina and you consider yourself a travel enthusiast, you’ll have to change one of those two things soon. It’s a truly beautiful city, known for its stunning cobblestone streets and small town atmosphere, while also remaining quite a large city with a wonderful beachfront and plenty of cultural destinations for you to explore and appreciate.
Savannah, Georgia
Another coastal city worth experiencing and visiting is Savannah, Georgia. It’s a very green city, so if that’s what excites you, Savannah is the place to be. It has some truly beautiful parks, and you can walk along the Savannah River and enjoy your surroundings all day long. The Gothic-Revival called Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist is not to be missed either. It’s one of Georgia’s architectural highlights.
Atlanta, Georgia
Atlanta, Georgia is a rapidly changing city, and that’s one of the things that’s driving more and more people towards it, both as visitors and new residents. There are lots of couple activities in Atlanta too, making it an ideal spot for a romantic trip. The city is modern, full of young people and vibrancy, and it’s a city with a wonderful bar scene and nightlight. If that’s what you’re looking for, be sure to check it out.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Now, it might seem strange to you to add Las Vegas to a list of underrated cities to visit, considering it’s one of America’s tourist hubs. But there’s actually more to it than the bright lights and casinos. There’s a wonderful restaurant culture, fantastic live music scene and some great natural landscapes. And of course, if you do want a trip to a casino, there’s nowhere better on planet earth.
As you can see, there are so many great cities worth exploring in the US, and the ones we’ve discussed here are just the tip of the iceberg. Once you’ve explored and experienced all of these and everything that they have to offer, there are still so many more than are worth taking the time to visit.
