What’s your idea of quality time with your other half? Is it a spa date? A night in perhaps? But if you really want to rekindle your romance, especially after marriage and kids, a date weekend is where it’s at! A date weekend might be impossible for some, but if you plan it properly, it could be the best way for you to have quality time with your significant other, and not worry about anything, at least until Monday! So how can you have a great weekend date with your significant other?
A Long Weekend Somewhere
Taking a plane to another state so you can have a lovely weekend is one of the simplest ways to get away from it all. You can add that extra layer of luxury by having an airport limo take you there in style! But where are you going to go? There are always places like Atlantic City or Las Vegas, but if you want to do something a bit more down-to-earth, and simple, you’ve got to go to New Jersey. There’s plenty of places that keep it simple, and you and your partner can actually take the time to talk and enjoy each other’s company.
A Whole Weekend of Events
A weekend is a long time to cram a lot in, and if you and your significant other haven’t had any quality time for a while, there’s plenty of opportunities to do almost anything you want. You can choose to keep it simple by having picnics and walks in the park, or you can go towards the other end of the spectrum, and make it a full-on session, where you get to go from bar to bar, perhaps take in a concert or two, and just go all out! There are amazing weekend festivals that you could go to with your partner, such as Benicassim in Spain, or Coachella, and these are wonderful ways for you to get away from normal life, and just have an amazing time listening to great music!
Keeping it at Home
If you have such busy lives, you might not want to stay at home with your partner, but if you have got kids, taking the opportunity to send them to the grandparents so you can have some quality time together might be all it takes for you to rest and recuperate, while also making the most of each other’s time. But it’s important to remember that if you decide to stay at home, do not attempt to fix any of the problems around the house! Make sure that you focus on each other, and not the laundry! It is easier said than done, but perhaps you can just take the opportunity to have a big lie-in, watch Netflix, drink coffee, and see where the mood takes you! It’s a wonderful way for you to decompress, especially if you both work long hours.
A date weekend with your significant other is a great way for you to rekindle the fires, spend quality time, and just enjoy each other’s company. What a difference 48 hours makes!
