When you start planning your dream vacation, Croatia should find its way into the top spots for destinations. It used to be a hidden gem since it came out outfits decades behind the Iron Curtain to then be thrust into a civil war. For many years, its charms were hidden. These days tourists have discovered it and for good reason.  

Croatia has so much going for it that it is surprising that there aren’t more people going there. It has history, beautiful beaches, and fantastic locals. Although it isn’t as inexpensive as it used to be, there are still lots of travel bargains to be found. 1 – Interesting and unique cities  

Croatia is all about its dramatic coastline. This is where most of the best cities in the country are located. These are some of the most interesting cities in the Mediterranean and so unique. Croatia is also famous for its truffles. As a bonus, these delicacies are some of the least expensive you can buy. For a fraction of what you would spend in France or Italy, you can enjoy freshly made pasta topped with shaved truffles.   

3 – All the islands  

It is very easy to get away from the tourist crowds who are all concentrated in certain areas. One of the best ways is to find a small island where you can have the beaches to yourself. There are so many islands that many of them are totally empty of tourists and offer an amazing place to enjoy the crystal clear Adriatic Sea.
