A Few Approaches to Naturalize Your Beauty Regime

We are all looking for ways to be a bit more natural in our beauty regimes, but also ensure we can be sustainable in small ways. There are many things we can do to reduce waste, and this is why it pays to incorporate some of the following practices so you can be more eco-friendly, and sustainable, while also avoiding putting harsh chemicals on your skin.

Try Natural Products

When it comes to choosing your next product, think about sustainable items that suit your skin requirements. From coconut oil to milk, there are a lot of natural ingredients that you can use to create a natural skincare product for you.   • Coconut oil. Coconut oil by itself provides a lot of long-lasting moisture. All you need to do is rub it on your cuticles, and this will provide extra nourishment. 
  • Milk. You can use milk to soften your hands. Heating 3 cups of whole milk in the microwave and soak your hands in it for a number of minutes can hydrate your skin. With a variety of B vitamins, as well as vitamins C and A, you can nourish your hands. What’s more natural than milk?  
  • Baking soda. Baking soda is one of the cheapest ingredients out there and is wonderful for exfoliating our skin as its abrasive nature can help loosen any dead skin. Soaking your feet in a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice provides that all-important foot-scrubbing sensation that can get to the root of the problem. 
  • Honey and sugar. These sweet treats have fantastic exfoliating properties. You can make your own scrub with honey, sugar, coconut oil, and lemon juice.

When it comes to making any form of DIY treatment, there are a lot of natural products you can use.

Don’t Forget Natural Ingredients…

When it comes to choosing any type of product, you’ve got to go for natural ingredients. As we’ve already shown you, there are a number of fantastic ways you can exfoliate and nourish your skin, but there are also a lot of other less obvious natural ingredients, including the following: 

  • Turmeric. This is fantastic for lightening up dull skin and is a great exfoliator. Combine this with gram flour, and you can cleanse the sweat off your skin. 
  • Rice. Rice is another thing that can be a fantastic exfoliator and depigmenting agent. You can make a scrub with rice and add some honey or olive oil, which is fantastic because of the good fats. 
  • Ground almonds. As you can see, it’s possible to make a lot of pastes with so many of these items, and with foods like almonds, which are full of good fats and nutrients like zinc, manganese, selenium, and copper, you would benefit from getting this into your skin. You can add coconut water to ground almonds to make a coarse paste.

…and the Food You Eat!

We also need to talk about food not just in terms of it going on your face, but in your body. We all know that something like cucumbers is fantastic for livening up dull and tired eyes, and this is why we must remember that it’s not just about the food we put on our face, but about the food we put in our bodies. 

The problem most of us have is that we don’t have the greatest of diets, and we think that it’s better for us to overcompensate by using natural ingredients. The reality is that you should be having a solid diet and beauty regime. When you are putting food into your body, you’ve got to remember the importance of the food you eat, but also the lifestyle you lead. 

One of the best ways to cleanse your body is to exercise, and this means that you can get rid of a lot of toxins. This is why a lot of people are benefiting from new-age practices like hot yoga. But ultimately, it’s about the things you put into your body, as well as the common pieces of advice, like minimizing sugar, not smoking, and also hydrating.
